Whew, what a week! We all know the expression, "When it rains, it pours." Well, it was that kind of week, figuratively and literally. My wife and I had so many things go wrong this week, including one of our vehicles going kaput on us. It wasn't worth the repair cost, so we had to get another vehicle. Just one of the many changes coming into our lives.
Like it or not, change is a part of life. Sometimes we welcome the changes, others... not so much. Either way, there isn't much we can do about it. the one exception is God. If we cling to our faith, we can weather the changes in our lives, good and bad. Even more, I believe if we look close enough, we can find the good in even our most trying of changes. Even still, it doesn't make it easier. But, by the grace of God, we can make it.

I firmly believe that God won't give us more than we can handle, but aren't there times when you feel that you could write the great American novel, "Move Over, Job!"? There are probably times when each of us has felt the need to have a heart-to-heart with God and ask, "God, do you think you've overestimated my ability to tolerate the changes that have been thrown at me?" Prayers from the other side of the state go out to the Williams family and all who are constantly confronted with never ending welcome and unwelcome change.

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes, Chris, but I share your appreciation for God's constancy. Heb 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever!" No matter what storms life throws at us, He is there to calm the waves and reassure us of His love. We worship an awesome God, don't we?
