Good morning! I woke up today, heard the rain and asked my wife, "Has Noah passed by yet?" Here in the St Louis area we have had so much rain, in the last couple of days and in the last couple of months. Needless to say, people have had about enough. Our yards look like ponds. It seems we rarely get a look at the son. If we didn't know better, it would seem like we'd all moved to Seattle! Of course, the ironic thing is that in a couple of months, when the temps are in the 90's and not a cloud is in sight, we will all be praying for the rain.
I for one enjoy the rain. There is something about it that I can't put into words. Yesterday, as I left my office and walked to my car, I slowed my steps and just let it fall on me. It may sound weird, but it was one of those God moments. It wasn't just that I was ok with the rain, I wanted to embrace the rain. I believe we all have moments like this, moments when something just connects. When it happens, it just can't be put fully into words. But its real nonetheless.

We lived in Lancaster CA. for a little over a year. Lancaster is located in the Mohave dessert and I can only remember it raining a handful of times during our time there. Day after day of the same weather was enough to really drive me crazy. It really makes me appreciate our very changable weather here in Missouri.
The KC area has had its share of rain...though not quite the amount as StL. It's been almost necessary to pull out the plans for an ark. Now, what's a cubit? I enjoy being on tne inside looking out at a calm shower, knowing that God is cleaning the atmosphere. It's a reflective, pensive experience.
